The garage sale will take place from 9:30 AM to 3 PM in the library meeting room.
(Note: The library will not open until 10 AM, but the meeting room will be opened for the garage sale at 9:30 AM.)

Join us at the College Prep Panel where current students from University of Houston and Rice University will be at the JC Library to share what college is really like. You'll hear firsthand about choosing the right college for you, selecting a major, balancing school and life, and everything in between.
We’ll also be joined by a former academic advisor, ready to drop expert advice on how to succeed from day one.
Harris County Public Health will be at Aldine library to speak with families about Lead Poisoning Prevention. Please join us on Saturday, Nov. 22nd at 1 pm in the Aldine Library meeting room to learn how to keep your family safe!

This Free Financial Workshop will be held on Wednesdays, July 2 to December 17th at 6:30 pm.

Join us for our weekly homeschool meet up, where kids can engage in STEAM activities such as building challenges, fiber art crafts, science experiments, process art, games, and more, all while having fun and socializing. Parents/caregivers are welcome to join each other in the library for an informational session and networking.

Join us in celebrating The Friends of the Fairbanks Branch Library from October 20-25 during National Friends of Libraries Week! This special occasion honors the invaluable contributions of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to support our libraries.
Join us on Wednesdays at 11:00 am for Toddler Story Time! This 30-minute Story Time is designed for toddlers aged 1 to 3 years old. We meet in the children's area to share books, songs, rhymes, and more! After Story Time, the toy cabinets are opened and the children are invited to stay and play. It's a great way to meet other caregivers and give your toddler a chance to socialize.
Siblings are always welcome.
We meet in the children's area where the picture books and campfire rug are located.

Join us for Polliwog Club on the first Tuesday of each month at 11:30 am! A traveling naturalist from Precinct 1 will be here at the Fairbanks Branch Library to share a story and fascinating information with us about a particular group of animals such as mammals, reptiles, birds, etc. She will bring 3-4 live animals from the featured group that the children will be able to see up close, and they will also have an opportunity to gently touch the animals if they would like to. Touching the animals is always optional. Hand sanitizer will be provided.
