Experience the magic of two languages at our Bilingual Storytime, specially designed for children ages 5 to 8 years old. Each week features a fresh, exciting theme—from high-tech Robots to mythical Dragons. We go beyond the book with interactive games and hands-on instrument play to keep older kids engaged and moving. It’s the perfect blend of literacy, culture, and high-energy fun. 🎸 📚 🎮
Join us for our weekly homeschool meet up, where kids can engage in STEAM activities such as building challenges, fiber art crafts, science experiments, process art, games, and more, all while having fun and socializing. Parents/caregivers are welcome to join each other in the library for an informational session and networking.
*Recommended for children ages 5-11, under 5 must have an accompanying adult.
Join us after school from 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm every 2nd Monday of the month for fun art projects and crafts! This program is designed for 7-11 year olds/2nd-5th grade children. See you there!

Calling all kid makers! You are invited to our Makerspace Market where you can shop for gently used craft supplies and other upcycled materials to use in your own projects. Can’t wait to start creating? Stop by our crafting station and get busy with your materials right away! Ages 4-11!
Dance to Learn is a movement integration program that approaches academic learning from a kinesthetic perspective. Houston Ballet teaching artists work to create lessons that address TEKS in multiple subject areas while building Social Emotional Skills. Shhhh! Don't tell your kids that they are learning! They will be having a blast pretending to dance like dinosaurs! Group size is limited to 25 participants, so be sure to sign up at the front desk.
Step into the Literacy League, where stories come to life!
Our Chapter Champions (teens) are ready to guide your Story Seekers (children; grades K-3rd) through the wonders of the written word in stories, information, and books.
The Literacy League is a literacy program to provide teen mentorship and guidance to K-3rd graders pursuant to establishing and promoting a culture of literacy and books at the library and beyond into their home Reading Refuge.
Come and join us in person for 30 to 45 minutes of art exploration! Our "Pour Your Art Out" after school art time is free to attend and all materials will be provided. Art projects are age-appropriate for elementary school age children and their caregivers. We will announce art subjects at the start of each program.

Book Buddies is a FREE literacy program that brings child and teens together to share the joy of reading. It pairs trained teen volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in K-3rd grades (Little Buddies).
Each Wednesday for 10 weeks, Big Buddies and Little Buddies will meet to read together and create positive experiences surrounding literacy. By the end of the session, we aspire that all Little Buddies will learn to love to read and form positive associations with reading.
