Looking to chat with other homeschoolers and swap tricks and tips?  Join us for Homeschool Hangout.  Here, students will engage with crafts, LEGOs, and games, while caregivers have the opportunity to network.

 Amate is a type of paper produced from the fibers of the bark of fig trees. Beginning in pre-Hispanic times, different indigenous groups in Mexico used the amate to communicate with others. However, now Nahua artisans paint intricate birds, colorful plants, and whimsical animals on the amate so that it can be used for decoration.

Join us at the Baldwin Boettcher Library for a Hispanic Heritage Month decoration party! All ages are welcome to create decorations celebrating Hispanic and Latino cultures. Materials are provided, and no crafting experience is needed. Help us adorn the library with colorful displays!
