Calling all genealogists! We’ll be hosting an open lab for FamilySearch, a free, online resource for genealogy/family history research. This free program requires no registration but space is limited.
Step into a world of creativity inspired by fossils, gemstones, and ancient discoveries. Crafts on the Rocks is a hands-on summer series where participants will create unique, geology-, paleontology-, and archaeology-themed projects while enjoying refreshing mocktails.
Each session explores a different craft, from wearable art to decorative creations, all designed to spark curiosity and creativity.
This program is geared toward adults, but supervised participants ages 10 and up are welcome to join us for coloring at the same time.
If you've always wanted to learn how to decorate a cupcake or cake like the pros, this class is for you! Sweet Crumb Bakeshop will be here to demonstrate their craft so your cupcakes will look you bought them! Call Fairbanks Library to sign up. Spaces are very limited! Texas Sized Pride for America's 250th - Preserving our Heritage: Step into history and discover the people, places, and events that shaped our nation. Through engaging storytelling and vivid illustrations, the exhibit’s display panels and interactive kiosks bring to life the stories behind our country’s founding.
The exhibit will be on display at the Katy Library for the entire month of July, during regular library business hours.
This exhibit is sponsored by the Sam Houston Chapter, Texas Society Daughters of the American Revolution.
