Crosby Branch Library is excited to welcome guest author Lynne Kelly, known for her popular novels Song for a Whale and Chained, as a special presenter for our June Teen Writers Club.

Lynne Kelly will share insights into writing for teens, discuss her journey as an author, and answer questions during a live Q&A session. Tweens and teens are invited to attend this engaging and informative author talk, perfect for young readers and aspiring writers. Adults are welcome to join as well.

Dance to Learn is a movement integration program that approaches academic learning from a kinesthetic perspective. Houston Ballet teaching artists work to create lessons that address TEKS in multiple subject areas while building Social Emotional Skills. Shhhh! Don't tell your kids that they are learning! They will be having a blast pretending to dance like dinosaurs! Group size is limited to 25 participants, so be sure to sign up at the front desk.

For over 15 years, Books Alive has presented beloved children’s books adapted into original, fully staged musicals, brought to life by its professional touring company, promoting literacy and introducing audiences to the magic of theatre!

This year's presentation is based on the book "The Ballerina with Webbed Feet" by Pam Von Scoyoc.

Welcome to the Andyrooniverse!

It's time to sing and dance with Andyroo and the Andyrooniverse at the Dinosaur Party! In this interactive concert, you'll wave your little arms like a T-Rex, run like a Velociraptor, and bop like a Triceratops while Andyroo sings his dinosaur hits from the Mesozoic Era to the modern day.

*Recommended for families with children age 3 to 8.

Learn from docents from the Houston Museum of Natural Science about how living organisms are transformed into fossils and discover what fossils reveal about prehistoric life. Participation is limited to 40 people, so be sure and sign up at the front desk to reserve your spot! Once you have signed up, please check in within 10 minutes of the program start time. If you have not checked in within 10 minutes of the program start time, your spot can be released.
