Summer Reading Program
Step into a world of creativity inspired by fossils, gemstones, and ancient discoveries. Crafts on the Rocks is a hands-on summer series where participants will create unique, geology-, paleontology-, and archaeology-themed projects while enjoying refreshing mocktails.
Each session explores a different craft, from wearable art to decorative creations, all designed to spark curiosity and creativity.
This program is geared toward adults, but supervised participants ages 10 and up are welcome to join us for coloring at the same time.
Welcome Southwest Dairy Farmers!
They'll be stopping by with their Mobile Dairy Classroom, a traveling milking parlor, featuring a live cow and an oral presentation.
Their trained instructors will demonstrate how to milk a cow, describe how milk goes from the farm to the consumer, and then answer questions from the audience. This is an innovative program that brings the dairy experience directly to children.

The demands of work, relationships, and daily responsibilities often leave us craving a sense of inner peace and mental rest. This is where meditation, a timeless practice comes into play. Incorporating this powerful technique can be life changing. Join Daya Sharma, long time meditator who will explain how to meditate and offer the opportunity to practice it during the session.

Travel back in time for a prehistoric adventure at Northwest Branch Library!
Elementary-aged children are invited to experience an exciting Jurassic Magic Show filled with surprises, jaw-dropping tricks, and larger-than-life fun. This high-energy performance combines magic, comedy, and prehistoric themes to spark imagination and keep kids on the edge of their seats. Kids 5-12 years old.
Tickets will be provided 30 minutes before the program at the information desk. Space is limited.

Join us for an evening of live music featuring beloved songs from nearly a century of Disney’s animated film history. This family-friendly outdoor mini concert will take audiences on a musical journey through generations of timeless favorites, from classic melodies of the early animation era to modern songs enjoyed today.
Held in the library's Outdoor Garden Area, this free community concert offers guests the opportunity to relax, enjoy live music, and celebrate the enduring power of storytelling through song.
Come watch a movie in the teen space and eat delicious snacks! Movie rotates monthly; July's movie is Toy Story (rating: PG). Popcorn and drinks will be provided.
This program is open to ages 12-17, 18 if in high school.
