Recommended for children ages 2-5 years, it features age appropriate stories, songs, and fingerplays. Story time is an excellent way to bond with your child, boost their vocabulary, and hopefully raise a lifelong reader. Studies have shown that regularly reading to your child can increase their attention span, boost their emotional intelligence, and flex their imagination.

Little Sprouts Baby Story Time is a ticketed story time that is every Tuesday at 11 am at the Katy Library. Please make sure to arrive early to receive a ticket. This event is for non-walking babies only. We ask that older children are left out for safety.

Family Place Workshop is an early literacy program that highlights learning through play. During this five-week workshop, parents/caregivers and their toddlers ages 1-3 years, will have the opportunity to participate in play-based learning. Each week of the workshop will also feature a resource professional to answer questions on topics including literacy, child development, nutrition, and speech and language development.
Recommended for children 3 to 5 years old. Dance, shake, wiggle, and wear your child out with dancing, physical movement, and rhythm-based activities. You're never too young to P-A-R-T-Y.
