Join us for Homework Help & Hangout every 2nd and 4th Thursday at 4:30 PM! Whether you're working through a difficult assignment, studying for a test, or just looking for a quiet place to focus, the library is here to help.

Each session includes:

Homework help A safe, welcoming study space A simple, fun craft Snacks

Join the Teen Advisory Committee (TAC): Lead, Serve, and Create!

Want to make your voice heard and help shape what happens at your library? The Stratford Branch Library is looking for motivated teens to join the Teen Advisory Committee (TAC)—a team of young leaders who help connect local youth with the library and the wider community.

As a TAC member, you won’t just attend meetings—you’ll help plan programs, influence decisions, and create a better space for teens through service, advocacy, and leadership.

Join us at STEM Lab as we explore various topics in science, technology, engineering, and math! Each month kids will learn about a specific STEM topic and then complete a related experiment or activity. Join us in September as we explore Rocks & Minerals! 

This program is for children ages 8-12. Registration is required and begins one week in advance.

A virtual tour around the world! Join us every second Tuesday of the month as we learn about the cultural practices, celebrations, food, animals, language, and geography of specific countries through discussion and hands-on activities. In September we'll travel to Chile!

This program is for children ages 7-12. Registration is required and begins one week in advance.

Come get crafty at the Barbara Bush Branch Library on our Tween Craft Day!

Have some fun creating a different project each month. All materials will be provided.

This program is strictly for ages 8 to 12. If there are Littles in your group, please come to the Family Place play area to engage in age appropriate distractions while the siblings are crafting new creations.
Supplies are limited, so please pick up a ticket from the Children's staff prior to the program.

This orientation session will introduce participants to Cricut operation and software in the library. This orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use the Cricut.

  • This class is appropriate for ages 8 and up.
  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Registration required.
