Do you have a child in kindergarten through 3rd grade who loves stories—or one who could use a little extra reading support? Harris County Public Library’s Book Buddies is a FREE, fun-filled literacy program that pairs enthusiastic, trained teen volunteers (our amazing Big Buddies) with younger readers (Little Buddies) for 9 weeks of reading adventures!

Not sure what comes next after graduation? This session is designed to help high school students explore the many pathways available after high school and make informed decisions about their future. Whether you're considering college, trade school, entering the workforce, or taking a gap year, we’ll break down each option and what it can look like for you.

• Day: 1st, 3rd, 5th Thursday June 1-Aug 1
• Time: 5:00PM - 6:30PM
• Ages: 13-18
• Description: Whether anime, manga, and cosplay have been part of your life for years or you're just getting started, this club is for you! Join us to discuss your favorite titles and series and get recommendations on what to try next.

Community Health & Wellness Services provided by Harris County Public Health at the Fairbanks Branch Library.  Come visit the Mobile Dental Clinic for:
First visits include a dental screening.
Follow-up visits may include a dental cleaning or basic treatment.

This orientation session will introduce participants to laser cutter services within the Harris County Public Library system. Those completing the class will then be able to schedule a time to use a laser cutter at HCPL maker locations. This class is appropriate for patrons ages 12 and up. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. 

Registration is required and space is limited!

Learn some creative ways to embellish borders with fun and challenging the techniques. 

All supplies provided. 

Extra supplies are first come first serve with limited quantity.
