Join us on Saturday, September 6, at 2 PM to unlock the secrets of computer language in this hands-on STEM experience! In this 45-minute session, students will explore the basics of binary code through a fun, creative activity—making their very own coded bracelets. Perfect for ages 8–14, this program combines tech, problem-solving, and art in a way that’s exciting and easy to follow. This STEM program is presented by Wow That’s Stem!

Join us for our Cricut orientation!
This orientation session will instruct participants on using the Cricut in the library. Those completing the class will then be able to schedule time to use a Cricut at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a Cricut. Attendees will receive the Cricut and Cricut Explore Air 2 badges in Beanstack upon completion of orientation.
What is a Teen Advisory Board (TAB)? A group of teen volunteers who meet monthly with the Teen librarian to offer input on teen and tween library services and programs. Grades 6 to 12.

Star Wars Reads is back for 2025! Join us for an afternoon packed with activities! Learn the ways of the Force with the Mustafar Saber Guild, practice your saber skills with virtual reality, shoot down battle droids, and make your own [pool noodle] lightsaber! And last but not least...enter your name for one of our grand prizes!
The Friends of the Library will also be setting up a sale table!

Bring your own project to our monthly teen fiber arts group! Come to chat and work on your current project, get ideas for new projects, and be inspired by your fellow fiber artists. Whether it’s crochet, knitting, embroidery, cross stitch, or anything in between, if you can bring it with you, you can work on it. This program is open to ages 12-17, 18 if in high school.
