Texas Sized Pride for America's 250th - Preserving our Heritage: Step into history and discover the people, places, and events that shaped our nation. Through engaging storytelling and vivid illustrations, the exhibit’s display panels and interactive kiosks bring to life the stories behind our country’s founding.

The exhibit will be on display at the Katy Library for the entire month of July, during regular library business hours.

This exhibit is sponsored by the Sam Houston Chapter, Texas Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

Discover the Wonders of Wildlife with The Creature Teacher!

Get ready for an unforgettable summer adventure! The Creature Teacher brings the zoo to you with exciting, hands-on live animal encounters designed just for your summer program. Kids of all ages will meet fascinating exotic creatures and friendly farm animals while learning about habitats, conservation, and the natural world through fun, interactive presentations.

Join us for our Cricut orientation!

This orientation session will instruct participants on using the Cricut in the library. Those completing the class will then be able to schedule time to use a Cricut at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a Cricut. Attendees will receive the Cricut and Cricut Explore Air 2 badges in Beanstack upon completion of orientation.

Read, sing, and learn together!
Join us every Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. for this engaging storytime designed for children ages 3–5. Through stories, rhymes, songs, and playful activities, children will build important early literacy skills such as oral language, phonological awareness, and print recognition.

After storytime, children can enjoy a simple craft or coloring activity to wrap up the fun. It’s a wonderful way to support early learning while making Storytime magical at the library!
