Join us at the Parker Williams Library Innovation Lab for our 3D Printer Orientation!

This orientation session will introduce participants to the 3D printing services we offer at the library. Those who complete the orientation will then be able to request supervised time to use a 3D printer at any HCPL branch that has one. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a 3D printer in the future.

This event is open to all ages. Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

Whether you've never touched a tile in your life or you've played all kinds of versions, come play American Mah-jongg with us! There will be a table for complete beginners and there will be a table for open play. If you already have a set and you just want to play with people, there will be open tables to play on. All supplies and snacks will be provided.

Join us every Saturday in our children's area for a family-friendly Story Time with Sawyer, a certified therapy dog, and his human, Betsy!

Are you ready to learn more English? Classes are every Tuesday and Thursday from 1 pm - 2 pm starting February 3 and ending April 2 (no classes the week of March 14-21).

NOTE: This class takes place at BakerRipley East Aldine - Room C126

A virtual tour around the world! Join us every second Tuesday of the month as we learn about the cultural practices, celebrations, food, animals, language, and geography of specific countries through discussion and hands-on activities. In March, we'll explore Spain!

Explore all of the Earth's major ecosystems and the plants & animals found there through crafts, stories and fun experiments. In March we will learn about deserts!

This program is for children ages 5-8 and their parent/caregiver. Registration is required and begins one week in advance.

The Baldwin Boettcher Branch Library will host a Saint Patrick's Day Party for customers of all ages.  We will have live music, light refreshments, and Shamrock foam craft.  Feel free to dress in green on this day. We will meet in the library conference room.

Teens and tweens are invited to come make a little house for a seasonal Peep duck or bunny!  All supplies provided.

They will offer free, quality tax preparation services for families and individuals that earn up to $58,000.

No appointments (walk-ins only).

Please bring a valid photo ID and the social security card or ITIN letters for each family member/everyone listed on your tax return. If filing jointly, both spouses must be present.

Beginning in February, AARP will be offering free tax assistance to elderly and low-income individuals. AARP assistance will be available on Mondays and Fridays, on February 2 through February 13, from 9:30 AM-1:30 PM. They will be back on Friday, March 3 through Monday, April 13, from 9:30 AM-1:30 PM.

You are encouraged to show up half an hour early to sign up for a spot.
