The Baldwin Boettcher Branch Library will host a New Year's Paper Lantern Craft for adults which will commemorate Asian Pacific Heritage Month. The participants utilize construction paper, plastic bottles and tassels to craft the lantern.  This program is for adults ages 18 +. Registration is required for this activity and call the library if you need assistance.  We will meet in the conference room.

Join us for an interactive early literacy experience for infants and their caregivers. This program is geared toward babies newborn-18 months and features a 20-minute guided story time with songs, a book, and a new baby sign each week, followed by 25 minutes of free play and opportunity for community building between caregivers. 

This program is a wonderful way to encourage your child’s language development, early literacy, and connect with other parents!

Come and join us for our Homeschool Meet-Up. This is an opportunity for parents to meet and talk about their homeschool efforts, strategies, goals. Whether you are considering starting or you are already homeschooling, you are welcome to join this informal meet-up. And while the adults are meeting, the children are able to participate in a library activity in the children's department.

Houston Ballet presents: Ballet Talks!

Join us for an interactive storytelling experience where children will explore the basic elements of ballet, discover props and costumes, and bring stories to life through movement and imagination. 

Teaching Artists guide the attendees through the plot of a ballet by sharing abbreviated video clips of a Houston Ballet production.

For children in grades K-5th. 

No registration required.
