This event is open to tween and teens only. No registration is required, but space and supplies may be limited.

Harris County Public Library's Book Buddies is a FREE literacy program that pairs trained teen volunteers (Big Buddies) with children in K-3rd grade (Little Buddies) for 10 weeks to share the joy of reading. More information can be found on our website.

The next session for the Atascocital Branch Library will run from September 8 - November 17, 2026. The Buddies will meet on Tuesdays from 4:30 PM to 5:15 PM.

Choo Choo Club is a weekly Early Literacy Program that travels through the alphabet one letter at a time. You and your child will play, learn and have fun discovering the early literacy skills that will help them become ready to read!

This program is limited to 15 children ages 3-5 and their parents. Registration is required for each event and begins one week in advance. ONLY THE CHILD NEEDS TO REGISTER.

If your student is struggling with math or has a simple question, come see Ms. Patricia for some one-on-one help! Each student should bring a homework or school work that they need help with. This program is for students in 4th to 12th grade. Registration is online, but walk-ins may be accepted.
