This Free Financial Workshop will be held on the first and last Monday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Adult Programming Area in the Main Library of Fairbanks Branch Library.

A.M.I.G.O.S. (Amigos Meeting Intended Goals of South Houston) Friends of the South Houston Library is a nonprofit 501 c3 volunteer group that meets once a month. Get a free health checkup at the Galena Park Branch Library! Project Health by CVS will have a mobile unit in front of the library to examine patients for blood pressure, sugar levels, weight, cholesterol, and other screenings.

Do you love silly stories and meeting new friends? Explore the alphabet and early literacy with us through tales, fingerplays, songs, action rhymes and crafts/activities!

Join us for a morning of board books, songs, parachute play, and bubbles at Baby Time-for our tiniest patrons and their caregivers! This program is a wonderful way to encourage your child’s language development, early literacy, and connect with other parents!

Join us for age appropriate stories, songs and crafts to engage toddlers and their parents. Have fun while promoting pre- literacy skills! For toddlers 18 months through 3 years old.

Story Time Info:

Join beloved local art teacher Valerie Maggitti for this fun and interactive still life drawing session. Explore the play of shadow and light as you work to sketch the bones and flora you choose under Mrs. Maggitti’s tutelage. Grades 4th – 12th.  Tickets required and will be available 30 minutes before the start of the program.

A bashful dinosaur enlists her friends and the audience to help her overcome her shyness and find her voice. The audience learns the importance of courage, confidence, and overcoming personal obstacles from within—with a little help from friends.

Best suited for PreK–5th grade, but designed to be fun and engaging for all ages, including younger children and adults.
