Join us for our monthly clay workshop where we learn different techniques and explore a variety of clay crafts. This program is meant to create a structured learning environment for tweens to be creative while collaborating with others.

We will be making pinch pots using hands, water, and sponges to learn how to create smooth surfaces.

For the month of April, we will combine our toddler story time with our Family Place Parent Child Workshop! Each week we will introduce an early childhood topic with a story and fingerplay. A community expert in each topic will be on hand for one-on-one time with parents while the children will have extra toys and playtime. Topics include: Early Literacy, Nutrition, Developmental Milestones, Speech and Language Development, and Movement. Check with the Crosby Library for the schedule and list of community experts.
Calling all tweens! Join us at the Crosby Library for Plot Twisters, a monthly book club where we sample a variety of books in different formats (including print and audiobooks) and come back together the next month to talk about what we’ve been reading. Discover new stories, try new formats, and see which plots really twist your brain!

Join us for a free class to help you prepare for your naturalization interview and civics test. You must complete an English placement assessment to join the class. Taking this class will not grant citizenship or pay for any application fees. Registration is required as space is limited.
Celebrate love with a heartfelt craft you’ll treasure. In our Valentine Hand-Sewing Program, you’ll create an elegant felt heart adorned with sweet, delicate flowers — the perfect handmade gift or a charming keepsake. For ages 18 and up. Join Octavia Fields Library Branch for two days of creativity. Patrons will make an air-dry flower bowl on day one (February 6th), and they will return one week later (February 13th to paint their project. )
