Discovery Time with Miss Christine is a fun and engaging story time for the whole family! Each week, we build early literacy skills through the five essential practices: sing, talk, read, write, and play. These simple, everyday activities support language development, spark creativity, and boost comprehension, while also laying a strong foundation for future STEAM learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math).
Join us for our weekly after school STEAM club, and help us continue our mythical creature themed month with a Baby Griffin drawing challenge!
"Pop Art" is a drawing-based program where kids will follow a draw-along to create a base picture, and then use different elements, such as markers, chalk, crayons, or paint to finish their art project, all while enjoying freshly popped popcorn!
*Recommended for children ages 5-11, younger siblings are welcome with a parent or guardian.
Join us on Wednesdays for a fun after school program for elementary kids. Crafts, movies, and activities await!
Join us every first Thursday of the month from 4:30-5:30pm for Lego Club here at the Fairbanks Branch Library! We will have Legos, mega blocks and magna tiles to build with. Come have fun! This program is for ages 6-11 but siblings are always welcome. We will meet inside the meeting room.

Join us every other Tuesday at 4:45 to create and build with LEGOs!
We will have the option of LEGO challenges or free build during our building session. At the end of our session you can share and display your creations at the JC Library for the month.

Make a mini pumpkin for a cute Halloween and Fall decoration. All supplies will be provided.
Join us for our brand new Tween Book Club! We will discuss the book of the month, have snacks, and enjoy book related activities. This month we will be reading "The Polter-Ghost Problem" by Betsy Uhrig. On Friday, October 3rd we will discuss chapters 1-24 and on Friday, October 17th we will discuss chapter 25 through the end of the book. This book club is intended for children ages 8-12. Online registration is required; space is limited.
Calling all homeschooling families! Join us in a welcoming space where students can engage in fun activities while caregivers network and share ideas. Snacks provided.
