Join us for 30 minutes of story time for our youngest library users! Our “Little Readers” program is for children 0 to 5 years old and their caregivers. Little Readers features books, stories, songs, movements and group play time. Come and develop your child’s early literacy skills in this fun environment.
Sorry we cannot accommodate Daycare groups for this program.
Did you donate a costume to our Annual Costume Swap? Get ready! It's time to Shop! Don't forget to bring your voucher to the shop to pick out a new costume. One costume per voucher. Do you have a gently used costume your child no longer wants? Does your child want a new costume? Don't SHOP for a new one- SWAP it! Donate a gently used and freshly laundered costume to the Children's Reference Desk during normal business hours, and receive a voucher to shop for another costume during our SHOP DAYS. It really is just that easy!

Little Sprouts Baby Story Time is a ticketed story time that is every Tuesday at 11:15 am at the Katy Library. Please make sure to arrive early to receive a ticket. This event is for non-walking babies only. We ask that older children are left out for safety.
Enjoy wonderful stories, sing along to fun songs, and let your little ones play and explore. Story time is a great place for kids to learn, laugh, and make new friends!
Join us on Tuesdays at 10:30 am for Baby Story Time! This 30-minute Story Time program is designed for babies from birth to 18 months old. We share books, songs, rhymes, music, bubbles, and toys! We also learn some early literacy tips and activities. It’s a great way to meet other caregivers and to give your baby a chance to socialize.
Siblings are always welcome.
This program is held in our library meeting room.

Join us on Wednesdays at 11:00 am for Toddler Story Time! This 30-minute Story Time is designed for toddlers aged 1 to 3 years old. We meet in the children's area to share books, songs, rhymes, and more! After Story Time, the toy cabinets are opened and the children are invited to stay and play. It's a great way to meet other caregivers and give your toddler a chance to socialize.
Siblings are always welcome.
We meet in the children's area where the picture books and campfire rug are located.
