Watercolor for “Young at heART” adults meets every Tuesday morning to enjoy watercolor painting while commiserating with fellow artists! This friendly and social group is open to all adults and to all levels of art experience, including those who have never painted with watercolor at all. Sometimes the group works on individual projects and sometimes there is an art education period. Sometimes you will learn something new and sometimes you can teach something to others. Join in for a morning of beautiful art and fun conversation!

Learn about the role of archives in preserving Latino histories, making them accessible to future generations. Drawing on her experience with Houston's Hispanic Collections and community-based projects, guest speaker Mikaela Selley will highlight stories ranging from huelga schools to Chicano murals! 

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer found in women, regardless of race or ethnicity. Join this important presentation to learn more about wellness and how to lower the chances of breast cancer. Hosted by Harris County Public Health.
