Otomi embroidery is the Mexican embroidery style known as "Tenangos", using vibrant colors, and unique floral and animal designs. Each Otomi piece is hand embroidered on Ivory muslin by Otomi artisans.
Otomi textiles represent a great Mexican tradition that has been passed from generation to generation. The Otomi designs are symbols based on native flora and fauna of the Otomi region. The animals and flowers in this Mexican embroidery represent the daily events of the Otomi culture in which we will appreciate animals such as deer, birds, rabbits, etc.
*This club is for Adults (18+) only due to supplies and space limitations*
Join us at the Parker Williams Library for our diamond painting club meeting! Relax, chat and enjoy this beginner friendly adult club. This craft is a series since diamond painting may take some time. Patrons must finish a painting before they will be allowed to start a new one.
Join us to create your own DYI herbs or flower pottery pots without experience or skills. Welcome families and kids 8+. All supplies are provided including live plants.
