Join us at STEM Lab as we explore various topics in science, technology, engineering, and math! Each month kids will learn about a specific STEM topic and then complete a related experiment or activity. In October we will explore medieval science!

This program is for children ages 8-12. Registration is required and begins one week in advance.

Join us on the first and third Thursdays of the month at Inklings, our teen creative writing club. Bring your writing to share and get feedback from other teens. Any kind of writing is welcome, from short stories to fanfiction, poetry to novels! This program is open to ages 12-17, 18 if in high school. Email virginia.gonzalez@hcpl.net for more information.

Choo Choo Club is a weekly Early Literacy Program that travels through the alphabet one letter at a time. You and your child will play, learn and have fun discovering the early literacy skills that will help them become ready to read!

This program is limited to 15 children ages 3-5 and their parents. Registration is required for each event and begins one week in advance. Only the child needs to register.

This class will introduce participants to Microsoft Word, Microsoft’s program for making slideshow presentations. You will learn how to open and create a new slideshow, add content into each slide, and basic formatting and styling of slides. Basic familiarity with computers (turning on the computer, using the mouse, basic typing) is required. We will be using library computers, so no need to bring your own!

Join with other babies and parents/caregivers for weekly story time fun! Tiny Tots uses songs, age appropriate stories, and playtime to engage both babies and their parents/caregivers. This story time is geared towards walkers through 18 months.
