Harris County Public Library’s Book Buddies is a FREE, fun-filled literacy program that pairs enthusiastic, trained teen volunteers (our amazing Big Buddies) with younger readers (Little Buddies) for 10 weeks of reading adventures!
As a Big Buddy, you’ll be paired with a child in kindergarten through 3rd grade (a Little Buddy) for 10 weeks of shared reading and mentorship.
Join us for the Teen "Bring Your Own Book" Book Club, where you can share whatever you're reading and discover new favorites from fellow book lovers! This month's optional theme is winter holidays—bring a cozy read that fits the season or anything else you're excited about. Come for the books, stay for the fun discussions and snacks!
Join us for Teen Craft Night and unleash your creativity with bracelet and necklace making! Whether you're a beginner or a DIY pro, you'll have fun designing custom jewelry to wear or share with friends. All materials are provided—just bring your imagination and get ready to create something awesome!

Tweens ages 8-12 can join us on Tuesday, September 23rd at 4:30pm to play Mario Kart. Bring your friends! Video game equipment provided.
There will be a separate session for teens ages 13-18.
