This Free Financial Workshop will be held on Wednesdays, July 2 to December 17th  at 6:30 pm. 

Newcomers always welcome! 

This program is being provided by Independent Agents of Primerica Financial Services

 It will be available in English and Spanish.

The Galveston Bay Area Scale Modelers Association (GBASMA) is a chartered member of the International Plastic Modelers Society (IPMS).. Club meetings are held monthly to present each other's current projects, share new modeling techniques, answer modeling questions and promote the hobby. We meet 6:30 PM - 7:45 PM on the 4th Monday of each month except for May(meets the week after) and December.(no meeting).

Join us in the Innovation Lab Classroom at 2 PM on Monday, October for our  Monday Matinee event. We look forward to seeing The Emperor's New Groove, the 2000 animated film about Emperor Kuzco is turned into a llama by his ex-administrator Yzma, and must now regain his throne and his human form with the help of Pacha, a gentle llama herder. This film features the vocal talents of David Spade, John Goodman, Eartha Kitt, Patrick Warburton, and Wendie Malick. Rated G, The Emperor's New Groove lasts 1 hour, 18 minutes.

The Next Chapter invites adults of all ages to join us on Thursday, October 23 at 10:15 AM as we're shown how to make our own beaded pumpkin for the autumn season. 

This free event requires sign-up. Registration opens Friday, October 10 at 12 PM and closes Tuesday, October 21 at 8 PM. Please contact the Adult Services/Reference Desk at the library or visit our website to register.

This is a writers' club meant for all writers to learn more about the art, share their work, and learn from other writers about their work process, publishing, and writing journey.

Everyone is encouraged to bring a brief excerpt from any Work In Progress (WIPs) or other material they are willing to share. At your discretion, you may bring handouts with the material printed on it.

Writers of all levels are welcomed, including people just wanting to learn more!

Classics Revisited continues Thursday, October 16 at 10:15 AM in our upstairs Innovation Lab Classroom. We look forward to showing The Crow, the 1994 dark fantasy movie. This film stars Brandon Lee, Ernie Hudson, Michael Wincott, David Patrick Kelly, and Angel David. Rated R for a great amount of strong violence and language, and for drug use and some sexuality, The Crow lasts 1 hour, 42 minutes. This film includes Closed Captions.

This beginner friendly lesson will introduce participants to various hand embroidery stitches and techniques.

This program is limited to attendees age 5 and up. Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults must be able to help their children with the project.This program involves sharp embroidery needles and embroidery scissors.Registration is required due to limited supplies and seating.
