Event Title
Literacy League-Teen Training🎖️📚📔

The Literacy League is a 6-week-commitment literacy program to provide teen mentorship and guidance to K-3rd graders pursuant to establishing and promoting a culture of literacy and books. This program also provides families with fundamental information, support and tools to assist them in creating individual family reading programs that foster a love of reading in their homes.

This Teen Training to become a Chapter Champion is required to go over expectations, the collections, reading practice, and options to connect with kids to promote an interest in reading, books and literacy.

There are two options for training, Wednesday 01/21 and Saturday 01/24. Chapter Champion candidates only need to attend one and are welcome at both.

Registration applications are due before 6 p.m. FRIDAY, JANUARY 16, 2026.

Late applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

So, be sure to complete and return the application to the front desk of the West University Branch Library.

Admission to the program will be decided by lottery. Priority will be given to families who can attend all 6 Assembly meetings. You will be contacted by Tuesday, January 20th, if you are accepted.
