Community Health & Wellness Services provided by Harris County Public Health at the Fairbanks Branch Library.  Come visit the Mobile Dental Clinic for:
First visits include a dental screening.
Follow-up visits may include a dental cleaning or basic treatment.

Adults and Children are welcome

Walk-ins are Welcome

This service is available from 8 am -3 pm each Monday with a lunch from 12-1.

Bayou Preservation Association is coming back to the JC Library for a special event! Come pick-up a Watershed Explorer Kit on Friday, August 29th between 3pm-6pm. All FREE, while supplies last!

The Watershed Explorer Kit provides a fun and interactive way to learn about and monitor your local waterway(s)  quality. The kit includes all the tools needed for kids to explore, test, and record water quality at a nearby bayou/waterway. Perfect for outdoor learning!

Join us on Wednesdays at 11:00 am for Toddler Story Time! This 30-minute Story Time is designed for toddlers aged 1 to 3 years old. We meet in the children's area to share books, songs, rhymes, and more! After Story Time, the toy cabinets are opened and the children are invited to stay and play. It's a great way to meet other caregivers and give your toddler a chance to socialize. 

Siblings are always welcome. 

We meet in the children's area where the picture books and campfire rug are located. 

No registration or tickets required.

Join us for Bilingual Storytime at Jacinto Library Branch for weekly storytime fun!


Bilingual Storytime uses songs, age appropriate stories, and crafts/playtime to engage children and their parents/caregivers.

This program is designed to help promote early literacy skills, support your bond with your child(ren), and hopefully turn your little reader into a life-long reader!

We look forward to seeing you!

Recommended for children between the ages of 2-5 yrs.

Join us for a free 5 week parent and child play time and workshop for families with kids ages 1 - 3 years old (older siblings are welcome to accompany them).  These will be held Mondays at 6 pm from September 9 - October 7.  Please register using the online registration.  This program was designed by Family Place Libraries.

Join us for our weekly homeschool meet up, where kids can engage in STEAM activities such as building challenges, fiber art crafts, science experiments, process art, games, and more, all while having fun and socializing. Parents/caregivers are welcome to join each other in the library for an informational session and networking.

*Recommended for children ages 5-11, under 5 must have an accompanying adult.
