When the Winter Witch casts a snowy spell on Christmas Eve to stop Santa from delivering presents, one brave young girl sets out on a quest to save the holiday. Along the way, she gathers a magical team of friends, including a flying reindeer and Santa himself. Filled with sing-alongs of favorite holiday songs, this heartwarming family adventure celebrates the power of love and generosity.

Families are encouraged to wear casual holiday attire. After the program, there may be an opportunity for photos, so bring your smiles and holiday cheer!

On the darkest night of the year, children must beware the Snow Queen – and when a boy vanishes from his village, his best friend is the only one who can rescue him. And she needs your help on her quest to stop the Snow Queen! You’ll help our heroine decide what happens next, join in the song, and bring the best friends back together.

Create a wobbling, bobbling mini-robot!

Recommended for school-age children ages 5-12. These programs are designed to engage children in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) activities and change on a monthly basis.

Tickets are required for all programs unless otherwise noted. They are free and available starting 30 minutes before the program begins at the Children’s Information Desk. Tickets are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Enjoy an evening of movie magic with a showing of The Polar Express based on the beloved children's book by Chris Van Allsburg. Small refreshments and a fun takeaway trinket provided. Wear your pajamas if you wish and don’t forget to BYOB: Bring your own blanket!

Join us for a fun-filled Movie Screening Day at the Highlands Stratford Branch Library! We’ll kick things off at 12:00 PM with How to Train Your Dragon, complete with snacks, crafts, and exciting coloring pages for kids and families. Later, return at 5:00 PM for How to Train Your Dragon 2, where we’ll keep the creativity going with crafts, coloring pages, and delicious pizza. It’s the perfect chance to enjoy two beloved movies and hands-on activities in a welcoming community space.

Come join the fun with Ms. Joelle and Ms. Jamie as we kick our holiday crafting and sewing skills into high gear! Kids will create their very own Santa hat and beard set complete with fun add-ons and decorations. You will SEW look like Santa this holiday season with this crafty creation!
