Calling all budding scientists, builders, artists, and all-around know-it-alls! STEAM Team is our monthly STEAM event for kids ages 6-12. Join us on the second Tuesday of each month at 3:30 pm to do some science and learn about something cool, weird, or just plain amazing.
Registration is strongly encouraged, so we can get a head count -- we want to have enough materials for everyone who wants to join in on the fun! Weather permitting, this program will be outside.
Bring your early readers down to read their favorite summer books with specially trained dogs here at the Fairbanks Library! We meet on the children's area rug.
Programs and services are Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliant. Special accommodations can be requested in advance by contacting the library.
You will be given a LEGO mission. Create a masterpiece and then share what you've made with others.

Discovery Time with Miss Christine is a fun story time for the entire family. Each week we focus on building literacy skills by incorporating the five essential early literacy practices: sing, talk, read, write, and play. These practices support language development, comprehension, and creativity, while also laying the groundwork for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) learning.
Join the Barbara Bush Branch Library at the Buffalo Wild Wings off of 99 & Kuykendahl for a Back-to-School bash!
Come make a library card, learn about local educational and family support groups, and get a discounted kids' meal. The Barbara Bush Branch Children's Librarians will also have a craft to keep kiddos busy while families meet our community partners.
This event is free to attend.

This program is recommended for ages 6 to 12. Tickets are available at the Children's desk 15 minutes before the start of the event. Capacity is limited, so please pick up a ticket before visiting with the best good boys.
