Discovery Time with Miss Christine is a fun story time for the entire family. Each week we focus on building literacy skills by incorporating the five essential early literacy practices: sing, talk, read, write, and play. These practices support language development, comprehension, and creativity, while also laying the groundwork for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) learning.
West University Library is going to the dogs! Join us the first Saturday of every month for our program designed to help reluctant or shy readers gain confidence, with the help of some very good dogs. Paws for Therapy will provide trained therapy dogs, ready to help your child practice their reading! Each participant will get 15 minutes to read a book of their choice to a friendly, non-judgemental dog. It’s guaranteed to be a doggone good time.
The Early Learning Quality Network Precinct 3 team will be attending the Preschool Teachers Adventure Conference to connect with and provide information to stakeholders and providers who work in the field of early childhood development. Please stop by the Early Learning Quality Network table, so we can share information about current ELQN initiatives!
