Join us for our weekly homeschool meet up, where kids can engage in STEAM activities such as building challenges, fiber art crafts, science experiments, process art, games, and more, all while having fun and socializing. Parents/caregivers are welcome to join each other in the library for an informational session and networking.

*Recommended for children ages 5-11, under 5 must have an accompanying adult.

Discovery Time with Miss Christine is a fun and engaging story time for the whole family! Each week, we build early literacy skills through the five essential practices: sing, talk, read, write, and play. Express Children's Theatre presents AN ART CLASS FOR KIDS WITH FRIDA KAHLO, commissioned by Rothko Chapel.

Thanks to a time-bending twist, the iconic artist Frida Kahlo will travel from 1940s Mexico to lead an art class for South Houston families! Materials will include crayons and colored pencils and everyone will get a chance to make self-portraits and learn about Frida in the process. Great for all ages!

Come explore mythology and folklore from around the world. We will delve into stories and activities about gods, heroes and mythical creatures. Join us in September to learn about mythical creatures from around the world. 

This program is for kids ages 7-11. Registration is required and begins online one week prior.

Join us at STEM Lab as we explore various topics in science, technology, engineering, and math! Each month kids will learn about a specific STEM topic and then complete a related experiment or activity. In September, we will learn about the Scientific Method!

This program is for children ages 8-12. Registration is required and begins one week in advance.
