Are you interested in volunteering at the library? Join us for our volunteer orientation. You can pick up an volunteer application from the front desk of the library. Volunteers under the age of 18 will need a parent/guardian to fill out the application for volunteering.

Join us at the public library to practice speaking English in a welcoming and relaxed setting. This class is great for all levels and focuses on everyday conversation to help you build confidence and improve your skills. Come meet new people, have fun, and learn practical English.

Harris County Public Health will provide free preventive health services (see list below) to eligible individuals. No appointments are needed. Patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
Join us for our 3D Printer Orientation!
This orientation session will introduce participants to 3D printing services in the library. Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a 3D printer at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a 3D printer.

Registration is not required, but space may be limited.
Physical copies of the book may be available to check out behind the Adult Reference Desk on the second floor of the library. Digital copies may be available at hcpl.overdrive.com.
Adults deserve to play too! On the first Saturday of the month, join us all day in the second floor Conference Room for creativity and construction.
Any attendant under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
There will be no Adult LEGO Saturdays during the holiday weekends of:
April 4, 2026 (Easter weekend)July 4, 2026September 5, 2026 (Labor Day weekend)Participants volunteer to lead discussions and they pick the material. Normally they will propose a title and everyone agrees. This is a laid back but serious group. They meet in person, February - November.
