This is our ongoing Dungeons & Dragons campaign where we host a seasoned Game Master to guide you through the mythical world of tabletop roleplaying!

Space is limited. Registration is required

As this is a continuation of an ongoing campaign, registration is at capacity. If spots open up, the event will be updated for new registrants.

If you have any questions about joining or creating a character, please call the library or drop by in-person. We can provide character sheets if needed.

If you knit, crochet or do any other form of needlecraft please join us for the Freeman Needlecrafters. While attendees are happy to help others through the difficult parts of a project, this club is not intended as a class for instruction.

The Galveston Bay Area Scale Modelers Association (GBASMA) is a chartered member of the International Plastic Modelers Society (IPMS).. Club meetings are held monthly to present each other's current projects, share new modeling techniques, answer modeling questions and promote the hobby. We meet 6:30 PM - 7:45 PM on the 4th Monday of each month except for May(meets the week after) and December.(no meeting).

Do you know that Harris County Public Library (HCPL) provides several apps for their cardholders? Join us on Friday, August 22 at 4:15 PM to discover the things you can do with apps such as Libby by Overdrive, Kanopy, Freegal, Flipster, and Pressreader among others.

* Please note that device repair and diagnostics are unavailable in HCPL eMedia Hour. 

** This session solely focuses on HCPL eMedia Apps and no other technology.

This orientation session will introduce participants to the Digital Media Lab (DML) and its policies and procedures. Attending a DML orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use the Digital Media Lab.

  • Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Registration is required.

This event will take place in the 2nd Floor Computer Lab

Calling all crafting enthusiasts! Join us for a night of crafting, chilling out, and eating snacks. Unleash your creativity and work on your personal craft projects in a welcoming environment as you mix and mingle with fellow crafters. Bring your own supplies, your current project, and yummy snacks or non-alcoholic drinks to share. Please note that this is a club, not a class; there will be no craft instruction. This program is open to adults only.

Come by this program where a volunteer will show you how to leverage low-cost tools and other free online resources to start or update your resume.

By the end of this workshop, you'll have a better understanding of how to quickly customize your resume for each job so you have more time to network.

You’ll need:

· Gmail or other email account

· Your work history or existing resume

· Any work recognition you’ve earned

This workshop will take place in the 2nd floor computer lab. Registration is suggested but not mandatory.
