Teen Book Club has transformed into Read It and Eat! It's a book club with a twist--during book club, you create something yummy based on this month's theme and then feast. This month, the theme is Girl Power and in honor of the founding of the Girl Scouts on this day in 1912, we will be doing a Girl Scout Cookie taste test.

Readers of manga, graphic novels, books, and audiobooks are welcome! Even if you haven't read anything new lately, you can still join us! This program is for readers ages 13-18.

This teen (16 and up) & adult program uses Library of Congress women’s suffrage primary sources, such as letters, diaries, and women’s self-published information sources, to examine how suffragists documented their activism and feelings on women’s rights and social issues of the time.

Program attendees use recycled books, scrapbook paper, stamps, ephemera and personal effects to start their own scrapbook and create their own DIY personal history (that might become a future primary source!).
