Summer Reading Program

This event kicks off the High Meadows Summer STREAM Camp. Each week we will focus on a different STREAM subject—science, technology, robotics, engineering, art, and math.

This program is open to teens and tweens ages 8 to 18. Priority will be given to registered participants, but walk-ins are welcome to attend if space allows.

6/24 - Robotics (CozmoBot + Makey Makey)
7/1 - Design Your Own 3D Print (TinkerCad modeling)

Join us for a collection of colorful capers this summer! Every Thursday we will have a brand-new Adventure in Art at the High Meadows Library!

Take part in a collaborative art experience and create to your heart's content!

This event is open to all ages. No registration is required but supplies may be limited.

Looking for a gift for Dad? Look no more, join us as we decorate a blank baseball cap. Program is for children ages 6 & up. Due to limited quantities,  LIMIT 1 CAP PER FAMILY.  All materials provided courtesy of the Friends of the South Houston Library.

During the summer, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH) teams up with Harris County Public Library to introduce children and their parents to great art and children’s literature. Each week-long Summer Art Camp pairs a book with a work of art and features related discussions and art-making activities at six different library locations.

End of the Summer Foam Party - Join the party in a mind-blowing mountain of foam during our FOAMtastic FUN FOAM PARTY! Our foam party will be held in the park, right next door to the Galena Park Branch Library. Space is limited, so don’t be late!

Sign up for our Neverland Tea Party!  Costumes encouraged!  This program is recommended for children ages 4-11 and their parents and caregivers.  Space is limited and online registration is required. Registration begins June 30.
