Learn how to book time with the Kingwood Library’s Cricut! This orientation session will introduce participants to using the Cricut in the library. Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a Cricut at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a Cricut.

This event is open to those ages 13 and older. Teens ages 13-16 must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

Learn how to heat press a custom printed design to a tote bag! Prior attendance to a Cricut orientation is not necessary; designs are pre-selected and pre-printed by staff.

• Children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Adults must be able to help their children with the heat press.

Learn how to book time with the Kingwood Library’s Mayku Vacuum Former. This orientation session will introduce participants to vacuum forming services in the library, and the basics on how to create your own uniquely-shaped plastic molds. Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a vacuum former at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a vacuum former.

This orientation session will introduce participants to 3D printing services in the library. Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a 3D printer at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. This orientation session will introduce participants to Cricut operation and software in the library. This orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use the Cricut.

In this program, teens are invited to BYOB (build your own buttons, of course)! Draw or create a graphic design via Canva and press buttons with KW library's button maker. All materials and snacks will be provided. 

This program is for teens ages 13-18.
