The Baldwin Boettcher Branch Library hosts English classes for adults ages 18+ who are interested in learning to speak the English language or improve their English-speaking skills. We teach basic English grammar subjects and words that relate to basic life skills. The students have the opportunity to practice speaking the English language with other students.

Join Future U for Career and Job Readiness preparation. This will be a monthly series helping you navigate marketable career readiness and workforce preparation. This hands-on workshop will provide instruction and assistance in creating or updating resumes, drafting and submitting meaningful cover letters, researching and preparing for interviews or how to assess your talents and interests and how to translate those to a rewarding career. Future U will bring the necessary information t0 work with you one-on-one to implement the knowledge presented in the presentations.
Join us for a special program 'Dance to Learn' hosted by the Houston Ballet! Dance to Learn is a creative movement integration program that approaches academic curriculum from a kinesthetic perspective, with a focus on student’s self-expression and building confidence.

Hey teens! Come sit at The Cool Kids Table. This STEAM program is for homeschoolers and virtual learners. Socialize, learn, and get creative with hands-on fun!
Join us in the month of June for a weekly Pokémon club, where kids can engage in STEAM activities such as building challenges, fiber art crafts, science experiments, and process art, all while having fun and socializing.
We will also leave time at the end of the program for trading or battling, so be sure to bring your cards & gaming equipment!

Do you need time to unwind? We know adulting can be hard sometimes, so we have a program for all you adults out there all year and especially this summer! The Adult Coloring Club meets the last Tuesday of each month at 2 pm for 1 hour of coloring, music, and great conversation. It now takes place in the conference room of the Baldwin Boettcher Library. No registration is required & all supplies are provided. We look forward to seeing you in our library building!
