The Baldwin Boettcher Branch Library hosts English classes for community residents who desire to learn to speak the English language or improve their English-speaking skills.  The students have the opportunity to learn to converse with each other in the English language. Join us for a Crayola experience to celebrate Pride Month and show support for our LGBTQ+ community. This all ages, inclusive event will be full of fun and colorful activities, such as chalk art, black light neon painting, and coloring, of course! Bring friends and family and create something beautiful together! (Colorful outfits or costumes highly recommended)

We will be making and decorating newspaper brooms and practicing our Quidditch skills. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

Welcome to the Andyrooniverse!

Join AndyRoo on a musical journey to the Andyrooniverse — a magical place created by the ever-expanding landscape of children’s imaginations, where you’ll encounter Sy the Sloth, Podgy the Platypus, and a big balloon that will whisk you away to a whole universe of exciting, animated characters. Using storytelling, music making, and movement, this program teaches children about individuality, togetherness, and kindness through an active listening experience.

The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH) is teaming up with Harris County Public Library for a week-long Summer Art Camp to introduce children to great art and children’s literature. Participants will have interactive discussions, develop visual literacy skills, discover art from around the world, and take part in creating their own work of art.

You'll get your very own collage board to decorate and take home. No special art skills required.

Join us on the third Tuesday of the month in the Baldwin Boettcher Library conference room to ease into art making colorful paper beads to use for jewelry or decor! Registration is required, but all supplies are provided. (Ages 18 & up.)

Do you need time to unwind? We know adulting can be hard sometimes, so we have a program for all you adults out there all year and especially this summer! The Adult Coloring Club meets the last Tuesday of each month at 2 pm for 1 hour of coloring, music, and great conversation. It now takes place in the conference room of the Baldwin Boettcher Library. No registration is required & all supplies are provided. We look forward to seeing you in our library building!
