Step into the Literacy League, where stories come to life! Literacy League Emblem Our Chapter Champions (teens) are ready to guide your Story Seekers (children; grades K-3rd) through the wonders of the written word in stories, information, and books. The Literacy League is a literacy program to provide teen mentorship and guidance to K-3rd graders pursuant to establishing and promoting a culture of literacy and books at the library and beyond into their home Reading Refuge.

Are you a teen in grades 7–12 looking to make a real impact in your community? The West University Branch Library is seeking motivated young leaders to join the Teen Advisory Committee (TAC). As a formal body of teen advocates, the TAC bridges the gap between Harris County youth, community, and library administration through service, advocacy, and leadership.

Headline: Community is the common thread. ✨ Looking for a weekly creative escape? Grab your needles, hooks, and hoops and join Chat & Chain, West University’s fiber arts and portable crafts club!

From intricate embroidery to cozy knits, we celebrate all things handmade. It’s the perfect hour to make progress on your projects while making new friends.
