Have you ever wanted to join a book club but they never pick the books you want to read? Have you thought, man, I just really don't want to talk to people but the camaraderie of being in a book club sounds great? Then look no further! Join us for chill vibes, non-messy snacks, and a whole uninterrupted hour of reading! There will be some light background noise of waves or other soothing sounds, and lower lighting (but not too light, we don't want to hurt our eyes!), and the rest is up to you.
Must be 18 years or older to participate. No registration required.
Join us as we aim to be sustainable at the library! Using old plastic CD cases, we will re-create them into beautiful storage containers. You'll be able to hold pens, remotes, sewing stuff, seasonings... whatever you heart desires. You'll be limited only by your creativity.
Use your creativity & engineering skills to make a diorama! We'll use Peeps marshmallows, graham crackers, candy, frosting, and more to create whatever scene you can imagine. This program is on April 15th at 4:30pm for tweens and teens ages 9-18. Registration required. Registration opens on April 1st.

It's summer, and we're having a unicorn party for adults who love to sparkle! This will be an after hours event with crafts, photobooth, food, a face painter, music, and everything you thought you had to leave behind in childhood (within the limits of our imagination, of course!).
Dressing in glitter and sparkles is encouraged and appreciated!
Come have a magical night at one of the most magical places - the library!
This event is strictly for ages 18 years and older, and registration is required because the library will be closed while the event is taking place.
It's the first day of Summer Reading and we're so excited we're throwing a party! Come to the library and register the whole family for SRP (you, too, adults!) and enjoy some fun crafts while you do it. We just can't wait to get started and we hope you join us.
Please note that parents must register their children for the SRP program, therefore parents are required at this event.
Have you been wanting to start reading e-books, but the whole thing seems intimidating? Are you an avid user of e-items but would like to know how to use all the different features? Then this is the class for you! Bring your chosen reading device for this hands on class.
Join us for our 3D Printer Orientation!
This orientation session will introduce participants to 3D printing services in the library. Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a 3D printer at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a 3D printer.
