Put on your dancing shoes and join us for an interactive story time with a representative from the Houston Ballet.

Dance to Learn is a movement integration program that approaches academic curriculum from a kinesthetic perspective. Teaching artists create will address social emotional learning and dance.

Space is limited. Maximum of 25 participants. This program is geared for grades 1st – 3rd. (Ages 6-9)

Through this workshop children will be introduced to rhythm, melody and movement inspired by famous operas and classical music. Our featured workshop Hip Hopera will feature remixed hits from the operatic canon. Ages 5 and up.

Stickers will be given out at the front desk for entry into this program. Stickers will be given out 15 minutes prior to the start of the program. It will be first come, first served.

Space is limited due to fire marshal code.

Soar into the world of birds and discover how amazing our feathered friends truly are. This program features live birds, bird song and dance, fun books to look for at your library, and much more!
This program is geared for elementary grades and younger audiences. Ages 5 and up.

On this Minecraft Adventure, take an incredible journey to the Lost City of Atlantis. In this exciting and immersive experience, kids will learn Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) skills and work together to journey from Plane Crash Island to Atlantis. This is an excellent 1.5-hour program your child ages 7-12 will surely enjoy.

Join AndyRoo on a musical journey to the Andyrooniverse — a magical place created by the ever-expanding landscape of children’s imaginations, where you’ll encounter Sy the Sloth, Podgy the Platypus, and a big balloon that will whisk you away to a whole universe of exciting animated characters. Using storytelling, music making, and movement, this program teaches children about individuality, togetherness, and kindness through an active listening experience. Walkers and up.

Children will be dazzled as we explore physical and chemical changes throughout this show. Follow our friend, Eggbert, on his "egg-citing" journey. Witness wonders of air pressure and an indoor firework show! Volunteers from the audience can taste a special Mad Science “burp” potion. Children will be amazed by sizzling, shivering scissors and special bubbly showers. Ages 6 and up.

Up until her death in 1954, Friday Kahlo taught art to many children in Mexico City. Thanks to a crack in the space time continuum this internationally renowned artist will travel to the present day and continue her unique instruction for Houston kids!
Using crayons, colored pencils and construction paper every child will get to express themselves and learn about visual art and Frida Kahlo. Art supplies included. Ages 5 and up.

Get stuck in the Upside Down at the Spring Branch-Memorial Branch Library as we get ready for the final season of Stranger Things! Join us for an escape box, snacks, activities and fun, all themed around the hit show.

Gather up to five of your friends together so that you can solve the escape box together! Whoever escapes the fastest will get a prize!

Registration opens on Thursday, July 3rd. For ages 11-18
