Books Alive adapts children's literature into fully staged original 45-minute musicals, carefully honoring the author’s message and encouraging students to develop a love of books while often providing their first opportunity to see live theater. Crafted and performed by a professional troupe, productions are big & engaging, fun & entertaining for all ages. Our Summer 2025 production is an adaptation of Three Nasty Gnarlies.
Children of all ages are invited to an afternoon of fun with sidewalk chalk. They can draw pictures, play games and enjoy the sunny weather. All materials will be provided. Weather permitting.

Play & Learn is a program designed for children ages 18 months- 5 years old to learn through play. Children will enjoy interactive playing time that will help them learn and develop skills in preparation for early success and school readiness.
Harris County Public Health will be presenting this workshop for teens ages 11-18.The workshop will cover the
dangers of tobacco use including smoking and/or vaping, how it affects all organs in the body, the thousands of chemicals in vapes, and signs your loved one may be vaping.
CATCH My Breath is the only evidence-based youth nicotine vaping prevention program that has been proven to substantially reduce students’ likelihood of vaping.
Our area is prone to severe weather resulting in catastrophic events such as hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding and other natural disasters. Do not go thru another severe weather event unprepared. Harris County Public Health representatives will be here to teach you how you can care for your family in case of emergencies. All ages welcomed.
Workshop designed by Children's Museum Houston to provide parents with resources, strategies and activities to improve family literacy, learning practices and parents' abilities to serve as their child's first teacher.
Participants will also receive passes to the Children's Museum to admit up to six people for free! Ages 3-9.
