Alebrijes are spirits that guide, accompany, and protect us throughout our lives. A vivid representative of Mexican and Oaxacan folk art that is traditionally carved from copal wood, painted with exquisite detail, and vibrant colors.

In this craft, we will make and decorate our own alebrijes out of paper! Use them as a bookmark! All ages are welcome. 

Materials provided: crayons, markers, stickers and construction paper.

This workshop will cover "Know Your Rights" resources to create a rapid response plan, as well as provide a comprehensive list of trusted legal service providers and organizations within the community.

Are you ready to learn English? Are you looking for a way to improve your English conversation skills? 

Classes are free and all materials are provided. Pre-registration is required before anyone can attend. To register for class, fill out the registration form, email us at pw@hcpl.net, or call the branch at 832-927-7870. Our Literacy Coordinator will help determine the right class for you and check to see if there are any open spaces available.
