Teens are invited to bring their own projects or learn a bit about crochet. This month, we've invited master crocheter, Adrienne, to teach the class how to crochet granny squares! After participants have learned how to granny, the squares will be joined together to create an art piece to display in the library. Snacks, 5.5mm crochet hooks, and a few colors of yarn will be provided.

This program is for teens ages 13-18.

Need help filing your taxes? AARP has expert and trained volunteers at the Kingwood Branch Library to help you file them for free!

The service is first come, first serve. No registration or appointments required. Please be sure to bring the following items with you: driver’s license, Social Security Card, and any relevant tax information for everyone included on the tax return.

Did you know that most IRS forms are available for free to print? Visit www.irs.gov.

Join us for a free, 12-week class to help you prepare for your naturalization interview and civics test. An English placement test must be passed for class admittance. Students must commit to attending all classes. Taking this class does not grant citizenship or pay for any application fees. Registration is required as space is limited.

This class will teach you the basics of Microsoft Word as well as some of the tips and tricks that are needed to create and navigate your documents.

All classes start within five minutes of the announced time; classes are cancelled if no registered attendees arrive within fifteen minutes of announced time.

This month, we'll be reading the classic and timeless Little Women by Louisa May Alcott! Books will be available in the teen room.

Synopsis:

A restless tomboy with a wild imagination, Jo March bridles against societal conventions. She has no interest in becoming a lady ; she will become a writer. Fortunately for Jo, her family supports her ambitions and understands her eccentricities. With their father serving as a chaplain in the Union Army and little money coming in, Jo and her three sisters work hard to help their mother keep the household afloat.

Join us every week as we go on a journey to sight-see and learn about popular landmarks, national parks, and other tourist attractions all over the USA! This "travel" program will teach children all about the United States of America through books, crafts, and activities. We can't wait to road trip with you!
