During the workshop, families are presented with strategies that develop early STEM skills. Children and families engage in an interactive learning experience through a book read-aloud, followed by hands-on activity stations.

Pollution Control Services is joining the JC Library again to bring an exciting hands-on activity where students learn about the significance of wind in our environment!
The engaging and hands-on experiment brought by PCS will help students understand the impact of weather on pollution levels and demonstrate how wind can play a key role in cleaning the air. Come learn in a fun and interactive way to discover the science behind weather and the environment!

Calling all fire detectives and fire detective wannabes to an exciting program presented by University of Houston- College of Natural Sciences and Math!
Kids will learn about wildfires, erosion, and stratigraphy through a fun presentation, a hands-on and even tasty experiments! They will discover how wildfires impact the environment and how scientists use soil layers to learn about the Earth’s history. No actual fire involved—just a lot of fun learning!
