Using a ping pong ball and a compact disc, decorate and create your own spin toy!

Recommended for school-age children ages 5-12. These programs are designed to engage children in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) activities and change on a monthly basis.

Tickets are required for all programs unless otherwise noted. They are free and available starting 30 minutes before the program begins at the Children’s Information Desk. Tickets are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Recommended for children 18 months to 3 years and their parent or caregiver. Toddlers will learn as they dance and move and play with developmentally appropriate toys!

Hello everyone! Do you remember the paper stars we created for our Stars in Jars program? We still have plenty left, and we're excited to bring them back for a special project. Join us on May 23rd at 2pm as we create a beautiful 4x6 painting using these stars to craft a tiny night sky. We’d love for you to be a part of this creative experience and hope to see you there!

Have you ever wanted to learn how to bind a book or journal for your own use? Or maybe a gift for someone? In this series of classes, explore the steps of binding a book, from (digital document to) printer to shelf. Attendees will also explore the etiquette and legal issues surrounding fan fiction, personal fiction, and so on that come up around this activity.

Some classes in this series will require registration, and registrants will be restricted to age 18 and older.

The Galveston Bay Area Scale Modelers Association (GBASMA) is a chartered member of the International Plastic Modelers Society (IPMS).. Club meetings are held monthly to present each other's current projects, share new modeling techniques, answer modeling questions and promote the hobby. We meet 6:30 PM - 7:45 PM on the 4th Monday of each month except for May(meets the week after) and December.(no meeting).  
Registration not required.
