The Galveston Bay Area Scale Modelers Association (GBASMA) is a chartered member of the International Plastic Modelers Society (IPMS).. Club meetings are held monthly to present each other's current projects, share new modeling techniques, answer modeling questions and promote the hobby. We meet 6:30 PM - 7:45 PM on the 4th Monday of each month except for May(meets the week after) and December.(no meeting).

This is a writers' club meant for all writers to learn more about the art, share their work, and learn from other writers about their work process, publishing, and writing journey.
Everyone is encouraged to bring a brief excerpt from any Work In Progress (WIPs) or other material they are willing to share. At your discretion, you may bring handouts with the material printed on it.
Writers of all levels are welcomed, including people just wanting to learn more!

If you knit, crochet or do any other form of needlecraft please join us for the Freeman Needlecrafters. While attendees are happy to help others through the difficult parts of a project, this club is not intended as a class for instruction.
We will host our next cooking event on Thursday, August 21 at 10:15 AM in the downstairs Meeting Room. Participants will be instructed on how to make Barbacoa, a Mexican-style, slow-roasted, seasoned beef. Ingredients and equipment will be provided by the Friends of Freeman Library.
