Join us on the first and third Thursdays of the month at Inklings, our teen creative writing club. Bring your writing to share and get feedback from other teens. The Lunar New Year in 2026 marks the start of the Year of the Fire Horse, a powerful combination symbolizing energy, freedom, and progress.
We will celebrate by telling the story of the first Lunar New Year, playing games, and watching a performance of Diabolo.
A diabolo is a juggling prop, like a yo-yo, consisting of an hourglass-shaped spool spun on a string stretched between two sticks held in each hand, allowing for complex tricks like tosses, catches, and spins, originating from ancient China.
This event is open to all ages. Snacks are provided.
