Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by creating your own Mexican-inspired amate bark painting. Amate is a type of bark paper that has been manufactured in Mexico for nearly 2,000 years and is traditionally decorated with images of birds and flowers. We will use paint and markers to create some beautifully unique artwork. Join us in the Fairbanks Library meeting room for this fun and easy art project and create a masterpiece that you can keep!
This program is designed for children aged 6 to 11 years old but siblings of other ages are welcome too!
