Join us at the Barbara Bush Branch Library for the Mid-gradian adventures of your "stranger" dreams!

Sharpen your creativity, build social interaction and problem solving skills, learn new vocabulary, practice maths, and while you're at it, slay a few dragons.
Come enjoy some tween/teen-centered fantasy role-playing. Participants will take on the roles of wizards and warriors; facing challenges and forging friendships.

This program is best suited for tweens and teens only; ages 11 to 17.
Registration is required. Space is limited.

Join our Teen Advisory Group (TAG) and get the opportunity to plan out programs and support your community. TAG is a great way to interact with your peers and earn volunteer hours!

For teens in grades 6-12. No registration required. 

Make fun charms with Shrinky dink paper! We'll provide a range of patterns to choose from and the supplies; all you have to do is provide the creativity and have fun

Snacks will be provided.

This program is best for 6^th-9^th graders

Get Creative with Cricut! This orientation session will introduce participants to Cricut machine capabilities, operation, and use. Completion of this orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use the Cricut at Harris County Public Library.

Middle school only. Meet in the computer lab for a social hour with computer & board games.

Community Health & Wellness Services provided by Harris County Public Health at the Fairbanks Branch Library.  Come visit the Mobile Dental Clinic for:
First visits include a dental screening.
Follow-up visits may include a dental cleaning or basic treatment.

This service is available from 8 am -3 pm each Monday with a lunch from 12-1.

Struggling in class? Join the personalized peer tutoring group, Learning Lounge, at the Barbara Bush Branch Library!

Each session features a mix of relaxing and engaging activities like puzzles, a creative hands-on project, and a group game to get everyone thinking and laughing. If you'd like extra help with schoolwork, you can sign up for one-on-one tutoring with a friendly peer tutor and head to a separate table for focused support.
Get help from fellow students, explore new topics, and walk away ready to ace your next semester.

Bayou Preservation Association is coming back to the JC Library for a special event! Come pick-up a Watershed Explorer Kit on Friday, August 29th between 3pm-6pm. All FREE, while supplies last!

The Watershed Explorer Kit provides a fun and interactive way to learn about and monitor your local waterway(s)  quality. The kit includes all the tools needed for kids to explore, test, and record water quality at a nearby bayou/waterway. Perfect for outdoor learning!
