Come join the North Houston Space Society (NSS) for their monthly meeting and learn about the latest happenings in space exploration, as well as what is just around the corner. This program is for anyone interested in getting together to learn and discuss space exploration.

Join us at the Barbara Bush Branch Library for a family support program tackling the modern issue between mental health and technology.

Our partners from Harris County Resources for Children and Adults will discuss the connections between technology and the mental and emotional health of tweens. Come learn more about the struggles children face when they are left to their own devices.

This program is for families. All caregivers are welcome to bring their children between the ages of 7 and 12.

Join us at the Barbara Bush Branch Library for the Mid-gradian adventures of your "stranger" dreams!

Sharpen your creativity, build social interaction and problem solving skills, learn new vocabulary, practice maths, and while you're at it, slay a few dragons.
Come enjoy some tween/teen-centered fantasy role-playing. Participants will take on the roles of wizards and warriors; facing challenges and forging friendships.

This program is best suited for tweens and teens only; ages 11 to 17.
Registration is required. Space is limited.

This month’s theme: School. Explore stories told in school settings and learn how to make a clay pin!

Join Michael, Octavia Field Library's Children's Librarian, for the second day of a two-day air-dry clay class.  On this second day, students will paint their air-dray clay boxes.  

Registration begins 15 mins prior to class start at the front desk.

Whether you're working on a school project, want to get creative with crafts, or just hang out and chat with friends, we’ve got the supplies and the space. Come by for a laid-back afternoon with plenty of room for imagination, conversation, and community.

The Story Guild is a collaborative adventure program for ages 11–14, where participants step into the world of Dungeons & Dragons through fun, guided storytelling.

Join Michael, Octavia Field Library's Children's Librarian, for the first day of a two day air dry clay class. On this first day, students will use stencils to make a clay box with a lid and a fun handle of their own creation.  Students are encouraged to only take this class if they can make it to the second class on August 16th that will focus on painting their air dry clay box.
