This beginner friendly lesson will introduce participants to cross-stitching, which is a form of counted-thread embroidery using X-shaped stitches to create a pattern.
This program is limited to attendees age 5 and up. Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults must be able to help their children with the project.This program involves sharp embroidery needles and embroidery scissors.Registration is required due to limited supplies and seating.Explore the electrifying world of science! Discover how to generate electricity using lemons and other simple materials in this hands-on STEM activity. Participants will learn about basic circuitry, voltage, and how chemical reactions can produce energy. Join us for a fun and educational afternoon where science and creativity spark new ideas!

Join us in celebrating Native American Heritage Month with Young Audiences of Houston instructor Marsha Dorsey Outlaw! She will be showing us how to make Ojo de Dios, a traditional fiber art that is rooted in the Huichol culture of Mexico and Pueblo peoples of the Southwest. We invite everyone ages 13+ to explore its cultural significance through a relaxing weaving process while creating unique designs.
This event has limited capacity and tickets will be available at the front desk 30 minutes before the start of the program. First come, first served.
